All MAS-100® systems are sieve shock systems based on the Anderson impact principle. Air is drawn through the perforated cover. A radial fan controlled by a mass flow sensor precisely regulates the airflow in real time at a speed of 100 liters/min. Microorganisms are precipitated by impaction on the surface of the nutrient medium in a 90-100 mm Petri dish or 55-60 mm contact plate.
