Merck Millipore type II water treatment systems combine reverse osmosis and electrodeionization technologies to purify water from particles, ions, organic matter and bacteria.
In the electrodeionization module Elix®, ion exchange resins are continuously regenerated in a weak electric field, which eliminates the need for their chemical regeneration or replacement. An effective reverse osmosis membrane drain recirculation system significantly reduces tap water use and extends the life of the Progard® cartridge. In systems with a built-in UV lamp of 254 nm, the treated water is irradiated before entering the storage tank.
Purified water of type II of high quality is used for:
preparation of buffers, solutions, microbiological media and standards;
finishing rinsing of laboratory glassware;
Microelectronics;
power supply of washing systems, autoclaves, analyzers, water purification systems of type I.
Type II water treatment systems are available in different configurations according to the required capacity and come with tanks of different sizes for the storage of treated water.
