Cytotoxic safety boxes Cytoculture EscoWorking with cytotoxic substances and chemotherapy drugs requires additional safety systems that are not available in standard models of Class II biological safety boxes. Since cytotoxic agents pose an extreme danger to humans and cannot be decontaminated by classical chemical decontamination methods, additional protection is required for both the operator during operation and the technician during filter changes.

Description of the cytotoxic safety room Cytoculture

ESCO Cytotoxic Safety Boxes are based on the well-known Labculture Class II Type A2 model, which meets the requirements of the new European standard for biological safety boxes EN 12469:2000.

A key feature of the CYT cytotoxic safety boxes is the presence of an additional HEPA filter installed directly under the work surface. This filter is changed safely for personnel and the environment when the box is in operation and the fan is on.

Characteristics of cytotoxic safety boxes Cytoculture

  • The conveniently located Sentinel™ Silver microprocessor-based control panel makes it easy to adjust operating parameters as needed.
  • The airflow information is continuously shown on the LCD display. Any deviations from the set parameters are accompanied by acoustic and visual
    signals.
  • Double ULPA filters and an additional secondary HEPA filter at the output.
  • The filters can be changed without exposing the environment or operating personnel to potential risks.
  • The highest level of cleanliness in the work area for personnel safety and material purity.
  • The front glass is equipped with an electric lifting system to facilitate the operator’s work.
  • The large legroom maximizes operator comfort, with a depth of 245 mm.
  • All painted surfaces have an antibacterial Isocide coating.
  • Meets the requirements of EN 12469 for biological safety boxes
