Class III biosafety rooms are suitable for working with microbiological agents classified as biosafety levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. They are often specified for work with the most lethal biological objects.
Work is performed through the glove ports in the front of the cabinet. During normal operation, the biosafety cabinet is maintained at a negative pressure relative to the environment. This provides an additional mechanism of protection in case of violation of physical confinement. On all Class III BSCs, the supply of HEPA-filtered air protects the product and prevents cross-contamination of samples. The exhaust air usually passes through a HEPA filter and is removed through ventilation. Alternatively, you can use double filtration with a HEPA filter with two filters in series.
Features of biological safety boxes III Esco Airstream® class
- The exhaust air is filtered twice through high quality ULPA filters with an efficiency of 99.999% for particles of 0.1-0.3 microns.
- The exclusive dual exhaust filter provides 100,000 times better protection than a single-stage filter.
- Two independent fans for trouble-free system operation.
- The microprocessor-based SentinelTM Silver control system provides continuous monitoring of pressure and airflow with visual and audible alarms.
- An air differential pressure gauge mounted in the back of the box monitors the negative pressure in the work area.
- The box operates at a negative pressure relative to the pressure in the laboratory to prevent the leakage of pathogenic materials from the work area to the outside.
- Gloves made of one-piece neoprene guarantee maximum protection.
- Easy and safe glove changing thanks to the design of special openings on the front panel.
- The integrated lockable gateway allows the transfer of hazardous materials without the risk of environmental contamination.
- The IsocideTM antimicrobial coating on all painted surfaces minimizes contamination.
- The curved front wall ensures ergonomic workstation.
- Each biological safety box is tested at the factory.
