In practice, all polymerase chain reaction (PCR) procedures are performed in one room. In these circumstances, PCR cabinets are used to prepare reagents and samples to minimize contamination. Due to the large number of copies generated during PCR, it is important to prevent possible contamination of the reaction mixture.

The Esco Streamline® Laminar Flow PCR (SCR) provides a compact environment for reagent handling such as PCR mix preparation. It is equipped with simple switches to control the fan, lighting and UV. The air passing through the HEPA filter guarantees a contaminant-free environment for reliable PCR results.
